We source fair trade organic coconut oil for our soap when possible.
We add extra amounts in our soap for its hydrating and conditioning properties.

prunus amygdalus dulcis oil
This oil is good for the skin with many vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and antioxidants. It helps sooth and hydrate skin and hair.
With high amounts of Vitamin E, it is known to reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and wrinkles and to treat skin conditions.

argania spinosa kernal oil
The tiny kernels of which the oil is derived contain linoleic and oleic acids, which hydrate and prevent damage from free radicals.
Its non-greasy quality makes it the perfect leave in conditioner for all hair.

SODIUM TALLOWATE
saponified tallow
We source only local grass fed and organic beef tallow.
It is top compared to other fats used for soap. Many vitamins and nutrients that plants do not have, which are highly beneficial for skin.
It is antibacterial and contains restorative and regenerative qualities. It also contains skin softening amino acids which soothe irritated and inflamed skin. Which is also why it makes such a good cream.
All products can be made available with vegan friendly ingredients, although longevity and quality of the bar may be reduced.

SODIUM MANGO BUTTERATE
saponified mango seed butter
Mango seed oil is extracted from the stone of the mango, the fruit of the tree. It contains anti-inflammatory and extra levels of anti-aging qualities that are reported to help combat dry skin, eczema and other skin ailments.
Like shea nut butter, it is rich in vitamin E, providing softening and highly moisturizing properties, with conditioning carotenoids that feed a skin’s natural hydrating barriers.

Olive oil has been used since antiquity to produce soap that is very gentle and cleansing. It is also considered hypoallergenic, not clogging pores.
Unrefined olive oil is an antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. It is great for providing relief in all skin conditions such as psoriasis.

SODIUM SEED HEMPATE

We source only Canadian hemp seed oil in Sasquatch Soap products.
Hemp seed oil is considered to be a super oil in the cosmetic industry as it contains essential fats that are anti-inflammatory and help combat dry, damaged or aging skins.
It is a great conditioning oil, that is often used topically to combat eczema, psoriasis and dry skin.

SODIUM CASTORATE

Caster oil is primarily used to assist in the production of a rich and creamy lather.
It is a natural humectant that draws and keeps moisture that protect against free radicals. As a natural source of fats, proteins and vitamins that is purported to encourage hair growth.

We use locally sourced beer instead of water in our recipe.
Hops, used in beer contain skin softening amino acids which soothe irritated and inflamed skin. The yeast in beer is also great for acne prone and oily skin as it has antibacterial properties.
The naturally occurring B Vitamins and minerals are both rejuvenating as well as add shine and moisture to damaged or dry hair.

This gentle white clay is a beauty staple that when used topically, will remove excess oil from skin.
It provide a "slickness" that aids in the production of lather for shaving in soap.
